Study from RAAD Research: Concept of Product Lifecycle Management has gained a foothold
The concept of Product Lifefcycle Management (PLM) is now widespread within the German manufacturing industry. More than 50 percent of the companies have a corporate wide consistent strategy for PLM.
In total, more than half (56%) of the companies stated that they have a strategy for PLM. About a third (31%) said that they only have partially implemented such a strategy in their corporation and that not all of their departments had been involved. These are the results of a study conducted by RAAD in August and September of 2010 together with Contact Software GmbH and other partners at companies of the German manufacturing industry.
