Analysis of D&B Germany: Contract awarding by public authorities is intransparent
The way public authorities in Germany are selecting suppliers and contractors is not very transparent. This is the result of a survey conducted by business information provider D&B Germany. Acedemic experts any industry insiders questioned in this survey especially criticised the inadequate insight into the selction criteria when contracts are awarded without a formal bidding. The majority of the experts see need of action to improve the risk management for purchasing departments of public authorities.
