Insolvency of GM would directly affect 51 countries
The apparent upcoming insolvency of General Motors (GM) would send shockwaves around the globe and would affect dozens of countries. D&B Germany has analysed the global corporate structure of GM: The company has 1,065 branches or subsidiaries in 51 countries. Global revenue accounts to 181 billion US dollar, from which 37.4 billion are generated in Europe. In case of a bankruptcy, more than one million people in the US and 150,000 people in Germany would be affected, who are dependent of GM.
