Downside Trend has stopped: German payment behaviour has slightly improved in Q3 2009

The payment behaviour of German companies has slightly improved in the third quarter of 2009. 78.75 percent of all German companies pay their bills in due time. This is the result of a study on payment behaviour conducted by D&B Germany. It shows a slight increase by 0.34 percent compared to the previous quarter. "The downside trend seems to have stopped for now," says Thomas Dold, managing director of D&B Germany. "If the forecasts of a light economic growth in 2010 are fulfilled, we will see a further stabilization of the payment behaviour in Germany."
